The Story of Along The Way Early Education Inc.
Founded in 1987, Along The Way Early Education Inc. stands as a testament to quality child care in Marianna. After relocating to the town in 1985 to support her family, Jeanne took a job at a local daycare, only to be disappointed by its subpar management. Resolved to offer a better option, she opened her own center focused on delivering quality early education and nurturing care. This commitment has come full circle as former students, now parents themselves, trust their children’s early education to the same loving environment they once enjoyed.
Educational Philosophy
Our commitment to nurturing each child’s potential is reflected in our educational philosophy, which centers on providing individualized attention. This is made possible by maintaining small class sizes of around 7-10 kids per teacher, ages 2 and up, ensuring that each child benefits from a learning experience tailored to their unique needs and learning pace. We believe this approach not only enriches the educational journey but fosters a deep-seated love for learning in our students.

Our unique curriculum includes hands-on, creative activities that inspire critical thinking. This, combined with skill-enhancing interactive group efforts, nurtures social collaboration in children ages 3 and under. With dynamic themes changing monthly and comprehensive biannual child development assessments, we continuously tailor learning experiences to meet the evolving interests and needs of our children.

VPK & After School Care
Our Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) program offers a strong academic and social foundation, emphasizing reading, writing, and interpersonal skills, preparing children for future schooling. We use Beyond Centers and Circle time as part of our curriculum for older children. Complementing this, our enriching after-school care extends our educational philosophy with homework support, recreational activities, and ongoing learning in a nurturing environment.
